Beschreibung:
Cause: FNP wanting their land back
One of Australia's biggest tourist attractions is Uluru. In 2015, the First Nations Peoples wanted their land rights back for the famous Uluru rock. The White Australians stole it off them although it was the First Nations Peoples traditional land. Malcom Turnbull had set up a referendum with the opposition leader. The council wanted the bill to be passed in December but there were too many arguments. Two years later the bill finally got passed and the First Nations Peoples got their original land back.
Peoples Effected: FNP, white Australians and Government
This effected the First nations Peoples because they were always discriminated against and didn't get land rights. Even Uluru rock was taken away. Tourists would climb it, which the First Nations Peoples never liked. When they finally received the land rights, they shut it down and now it is not able to climb. They are happy they got their original land rights back. The White Australians were also happy because almost everyone thought it was fair.
Perspectives
FNP: The FNP were happy that they got their land back because it was originally theirs that they didn't like people climbing on.
Government: The government would've been happy for them and i think that the rest of the White Australians would've too.
