Lockwood moved his family to the site. A second mill on Gilbert Creek erected in May. 100,000 feet of lumber sawed at Wilson Creek mill before another flood took out the dam but left the mill intact. By August the dam was starting to be rebuilt with ex-army lieutenant George Wales. Wales also supervised the construction of the Gilbert Creek mill.
