When WWI started the out break of alliances started also. Russia and France allied to Great Britain, Great Britain honored its pledge and left to become allied with Belgium. In which Great Britain and Belgium invaded Germany and became allied together as the Triple Entente. The Triple Alliance soon came later when Germany departed and became allied with Austria and Hungary.
