Sibley was trying to negotiate a treaty with little crow but he refuses.So Sibley gets mad and him and his troops, camp to where they think Little Crow and his tribe will be but are mistaken. In the morning some troop members went looking for food and run across some Dakota planning to attack Sibley so that war begins. Though the Dakota have to face defeat.
