The Battle of Midway was the turning point for the Americans against the Japanese. The battle was a success in destroying over 200 Japanese planes and 4 aircraft carriers. This would lead to the Japanese to never be able to launch a major offense again. This would also make the U.S a faster producer in planes than Japan.
