3 St 19 Aug 1862 Jahr - U.S.-Dakota War, First Strike on New Ulm

Beschreibung:

The men of New Ulm build barricades in the center of town. At around 3:00pm 100 Dakota soldiers attack New Ulm. The fighting lasts for about two hours utile the Dakota break of due to torrential rain. Once the governor heard about the attack he put Henry Sibley in charge of leading the counter attack.
