“People often ask me what Tam does & a buck thinks she wears a lab coat & test evidence for DNA, but this is what my wife really does. She sits across form people that are as close to purely evil as you find this side of hell & somehow, she always wins. Her ability to find the truth & obtain confessions in high profile cases is truly an art. Not to diminish the huge team effort that went into this case this week because it took thousands of man hours & hundreds of people, but I only live with one of them, so her role is the one I see up close. Tam is going on about hour 94 if my math is right since Tuesday & only about 14 of that has been sleep. She tirelessly pursues justice for victims who cannot speak or defend themselves with an energy that is hard to understand. Her job comes with a massive personal & mental toll but she never complains & she never quits until all the victims are located & the monster is in jail. I know that if my wife could ever meet the victims, she worked so hard for they would thank her. I’m biased but when it comes to interrogating evil people, I think my wife is the best anywhere hands down. We can’t wait for you to be home Tammy Lee, but we also know how important your work is & our kids & I are so proud of you. May God continue to watch over our amazing 1st responders & keep them safe. Shanann, Celeste & Bella rest in peace.”

3:00pm Tammy Lee responds, “First of all, let’s be honest, I’m not smart enough to be sitting in lab coat testing for DNA. My brother would attest to that I’m sure. Second, a case is never solved by 1 person & it took an entire team to get Chris into jail & to recover his beautiful wife & 2 baby girls. To say I’m thankful for the group of hard-working bad asses I get to have by my side is an understatement. We all just came together effortlessly. Yes, even the FBI and this time it worked but the reality is never a pretty thing. Most of us couldn’t keep our day straight & I know I missed 1st coach pitch practice, back to school night & my aunt visiting from out of state. As did almost all of the investigators working around the clock. Thankfully, I have the most amazing husband. My mind was elsewhere, I cried on the couch until I blacked out, (name of child) curled up with me & fell asleep. Joey carried him to bed & I scrolled FB & was bombarded with people posting about the case & sharing video of Bella & Celeste. I cried some more. You want to know how hard it is, this is the raw reality. I’m not proud of my weakness but acknowledge it fully. I woke up this morning & was immediately snapped back to reality with a little guy throwing up. Mom life never stops. Luckily, dad is also home. So today is all about recharging with my mom & sister at the salon. I love everyone & I appreciate you more than you know. Say a pray for all of us, we could all use it. Rest in peace Celeste, Shanann, Bella & baby Niko. We will not forget you. I’ll not forget about you.”
