After the unexpected death of his father, Nicholas II was forced into office at a very young age. Because of this, he made bad decisions and was very unprepared. To help carry some of the weight, Nicholas II married Alexandra from Germany shortly afterwards. This started the first stage of a revolution, or Incubation. People were unhappy and the government was failing.
