Combined Byzantine-Crusader force landed in Egypt and proceeded to attack the city of Damietta. A complete lack of cohesion between the two forces led to a swift end to the campaign after the capitulation of the city. It also made the Byzantines far less willing to engage in joint militiary activity with the Franks.
