The election was rigged by the Oipientian Fascist Party and it became publicly known in 1948 after two anti-fascist supporters broke into the Palace of Commons and retrieved documents that clearly implied election fraud. The documents were then released to the Kuepliot Times (a non-government owned newspaper outlet) and riots began to appear across the majority of the large cities in Oipienta. Tasak had the military deal with the riots and had the two anti-fascist supporters arrested and sent to the Arkek Prison Complex. After the original set of riots, Tasak saw the need to take full control and he used the riots as his evidence that Oipienta was failing and needed a strong leader for the time being. Luckily for him, the majority of Oipienta heavily supported him anyways.
