Canada's declaration of war has shown their autonomy by sticking by and supporting Britain throughout the war. However, when Canada had first declared war, the Canadian army consisted of 4500 men and new equipment had not been built since ww1.

Canada's declaration of war allowed them to show their support by providing many troops, supplies, airbases and much more. This war had also allowed Canada to show their abilities of war such as the Battle of Ortona and Operation Overload.
