1 Jan 1911 Jahr - 1911 Chinese Revolution
Beschreibung:
The 1911 Chinese Revolution was a movement in 1911 led by Sun Yat Sen (the leader of the popular Guamindang party) which eventually saw the destruction of the Qing Dynasty. The revolution began with the accidental setting off of a bomb, after which the Qing army joined with peasants and forced the abdication of the emperor. The revolution led to the creation of a provisional government, of which Sun Yat Sen was president. However, the government quickly fell apart after it was taken over by a leading general, Yuan Shikai, who then died just a few years later.
