The Mexican War of Independence began on September 16, 1810, and ended on September 27, 1821. The Mexican War for Independence was a movement led by Miguel Hidalgo to gain independence from Spain. Mexico eventually won causing the demise of the Spanish colonial government and allowing the signing of the Treaty of Cordoba.
