This is when Parker's Fort was attacked by around 500 to 700 hundred Commanche and Caddo Indians. Silas Parker was killed during the attack and his nine-year old daughter ,Cynthia Ann Parker, six-year old son John Parker,James Parker, Mrs. Rachel Plummer, and Mrs Elizabeth Kellogg were all captured by the Indians.
