First document of the Second Vatican Council is released, reforming the Chruch's liturgy and allowing for Mass to be celebrated in the native languages of the regions in an attempt to allow "all the faithful... to take full, conscious, and active [participation] in liturgical celebrations". This significant change allows for much greater participation by laypeople in the Mass.
