Beschreibung:
Devised by General Dawes, an American banker, Germany, France and Britain agreed to have France lower the reparations figure to a level that would not cripple Germany, that Germany was allowed to pay the lower rate for 5 years so they could bring back their economy, and that they were entitled to raise international loans to help it recover economically. Lastly, that Britain was entitled to be a go -between, collecting the sums paid by Germany. Though it took till 1925 to be agreed, it was a Labour achievement.
