Johnny Depp has received tons of backlash on social media for his recent casting in the Fantastic Beasts sequel.

According to a Warner Bros. representative on Tuesday, the 53-year-old actor would be part of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in a secretive role.

As Depp was accused of domestic violence during a recent bitter divorce battle with Amber Heard, many Potterheads did not appreciate the decision.
