After seeing the destructive potential of nuclear bombings, a global pact was formed to prevent an event of this monstrosity from ever happening again. However on January 6th, 2007, North Korea publicly declared its involvement in nuclear weapon development. The public was in shock. Future negotiations would be carried out, but with no definable impact. This was the day that North Korea officially became a global problem.
