Viktor Vojdomović uses magic to open a portal between the dimensions and into what he believes is the Quantum Realm. In actuality, it is a further removed wrapped layer down from the universe, causing Hassenstadt to be bombarded with demonic particles. Unable to contain the portal, the Avengers call in Reed Richards to help. Arriving with Sue Storm, they make use of their abilities to contain and close the fissure. Vojdomović attempts to stop them with magic, but Grimm manages to throw him through the portal as it closes. Vojdomović is declared missing, presumed death after the incident, though Richards reports to SHIELD that Vojdomović was pulled into the portal before it closed.
