The Satmp acts was the first tax that directly impacted the coloists. All of the taxes that came before it were'nt apparent for the colonists to see, but the Stamp Act requierd the Colonists to awknowlage it's existance. There were many protests against the Stamp Act, and Britain was shocked by the backlash they recieved,
