Beschreibung:
Starting in 1942, Canadians of Japanese heritage were removed from their homes and businesses and sent to internment camps in the B.C. area. There biggest concern was that the Japanese Canadians were sent as spies to Canada. They interned them for the guaranteed safety of fellow Canadians. This left a bad mark for Canada, as it made our country look extremely racist and it left are Japanese community unhappy with us. Also, when they were released, Canada had to give 20,000 dollars to any Japanese citizen that was placed in a camp because of selling there belongings they were promised to get back when they returned.Causing Canada to lose money. This event caused decline for Canada.
