The 36/30 line of the Missouri Compromise was revoked in the Kansas-Nebraska Act. This happened because both Kansas and Nebraska were north of the 36/30 line. These states ended up getting to vote for slavery or not. Which would eventually lead to "Bleeding Kansas."
