Beschreibung:

TLO was a high school student, who had her purse searched by her Highschool Vice-Principal. The school found cigarettes in her bag and charged her for possession of Marijuana. TLO claimed that this was an unreasonable search and the New Jersey court agreed, saying the 4th Amendment still applies to school.

The case was taken to the Supreme Court who ruled in favor of the school by saying that although the 4th Amendment does apply to schools, the Vice-Principal had probable cause to search TLO's bag.
