The 27-year-old actress was a walking style contradiction in Los Angeles, California, on Wednesday.

The Rum Diary star blended soft feminine elements with stronger statement making jewellery as she headed to the salon for a quick hair pick-me-up.

For her day out, Amber donned a pretty intricate white lace dress that featured three-quarter length sleeves.

Keeping the sheer dress lady-like, the star wore a nude slip underneath, which clung to her slender figure.

While headed to the salon, Amber wore her hair to match the dress' feminine feel styling her sun kissed locks back onto a simple braid from which her shorter layers of hair escaped. She also accessorised with cult eyewear brand Quay Australia.

In contrast to the soft look, the actress accessorised her ensemble with a lot of heavy silver jewellery.
