Beschreibung:

Hindenburg , in response to the Reichstag fire and Hitler's requests for emergency powers to deal with Germany's problems passes the protection law using article 48.
This massively increased Hitler's power as it allowed him to pass emergency decrees, leading to a breakdown of democracy.
He also passed the protection of the people and the state decree later which allowed him to ban communist parties from campaigning and lead to the imprisonment of over 4000 communists.
