Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world and it is all dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, one of the three principal Hindu gods. The temple was built based on the tradition that Khmer kings need to build a temple to house the gods as a way to legitimize their rule. The five towers of Angkor Wat symbolize the 5 mountains of Mt. Meru, the home of the gods. It is also designed to be like a mandala due to the belief that temples should be a place that coincide with the heavens. (AKA axis mundi) It is made out of stone masonry and sandstone and was made in Cambodia by the Angkor Dynasty.
