Beschreibung:
A former informer for the Federal Bureau of Investigation has said that he spied on defense preparations in the Seattle Seven conspiracy case and in two other cases involving radicals.
The allegations’ were made by David R. Sannes in an affidavit filed’ in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in connection with the appeal of contempt citations against the seven defendants.
F.B.I. officials here have re fused to comment, but StanPitkin, the United States Attorney in Seattle, confirmed that Mr. Sannes had volunteered his services to the bureau as an informer and had been given a code name and a post office box.
In a series of interviews, Mr. Sannes, a former Army intelligence sergeant who had a top secret security clearance, sketched his activities as an infiltrator of radical groups in the Seattle area
These activities, he said, included attempting to convince radicals to carry out a series of bizarre schemes, including false kidnapping of one of the Seattle seven defendants and plot to blow up a bridge with a booby‐trap bomb that would kill the radical who planted it.
