30 Mai 1854 Jahr - Kansas Nebraska Act
Beschreibung:
The Kansas-Nebraska Act was a bill in 1854 that allowed popular sovereighty. Settlers of a territory decided if slavery would be allowed in a new state's border. This bill overturned the Missouri Compromise's use of latitude as a boundary between slave and free states. Conflicts between pro slavery and anti-slavery people arose because the act led to a violent time called "Bleeding Kansas". All of this helped pave the road for the Civil War.
