Early on the 3rd-morning grenade booby traps and trip flares, set up by Capt. Diduryk’s B Company began to go off.
This was the begining of another NVA attack.

22 minutes later, the NVA launched an attack on Diduryk’s men. Bravo fought off this attack of 300 men in minutes, mainly due to additional rifle and machine-gun fire and the skilled placement of artillery strikes by Lt. Bill Lund.

Another 38 minutes later, A third attack was launched on B Company, which was repelled by Lt. James Lane’s platoon.
