He has been spending time at the Venice Film Festival where he attended a dinner held in his honour on Friday night.

However it appeared to only be a flying visit for Johnny Depp, as he was pictured leaving the city just a day later by water taxi on Saturday afternoon.

In his true kooky style, the actor, 56, caught the eye of onlookers as he carried a partially-cracked guitar emblazoned with the words 'just a tad broken' on masking tape.
