14 St. 23 Min, 1 Jan 1890 Jahr - Sherman Anti-Trust Act

Beschreibung:

The Sherman Antitrust Act was one of the first laws implemented by Congress to limit powerful businessman from creating a huge monopoly over a certain industry in the United States. At the time trusts were developing all over the US to create an unfair advantage over any smaller businesses and the workers within the large businesses. John Sherman, a Senator from Ohio proposed the bill to limit this from happening within the American markets and shift them to becoming more competitive. The Sherman Antitrust Act paved the way for all legislation that would follow in the following years to limit big corporations and create a healthier market.
