In November a group of 102 so called Pilgrims from Plymouth, England that had illegally broken out from church, landed on the western side of Cape Cod Bay. Closely they found and where they started building their town and they came to call it Plymouth Harbour. The natives living there learned the new people how to plant corn as well as where to fish and hunt beaver. Later, during the fall of 1621 the Pilgrims shared a meal with the natives that today is considered to be the start of Thanksgiving.
