Lynn Margulis was born in Chicago in 1938. At the age of 16 she was accepted in the program of advanced students in the University of Chicago, where she ended her career at the age of 20. She continued studying genetics at the University of Wisconsin. She is responsible for the theory behind eukaryotic cell development which revolutionized modern biology. She died 22nd of November of 2011.
