Rosalind Franklin was born the 25th of July in 1920. She was an English chemist who made a really important contribution to the understanding of the structure of molecules in DNA. She studied coal and viruses also, but she is mainly known by her contribution to DNA. She went to a private school in London, then she studied Natural Science at Newnham College, Cambridge, from which she graduated in 1941.
