The economic boycott against Germany proclaimed by organizations representing the 2,000,000 Jews of the metropolitan area assumed nation-wide proportions yesterday when the office of the American League for the Defense, of Jewish Rights, 729 Seventh Avenue, the organization that took the lead in proclaiming the boycott, was swamped with telegrams pledging support of the movement.
