Maurice Bavaud’s Plot:
Maurice Bavaud dedicated his life to trying to assassinate Adolf Hitler. Bavuad believed he was the "incarnation of satan" and that it was his duty to kill him. On November 9th, 1938, he brought his pistol to a parade where Hitler would be passing by. He never got the opportunity to shoot though, and was caught fleeing the country, and was later executed.
