Germany finally surrendered of November 11th, and on June 28th, Germany and the Allied Nations signed the Treaty of Versailles, officially ending the state of war between them. The treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty created by president Woodrow Wilson that punished Germany heavily. The League of Nations was also introduced by Wilson but the United States never joined it, nor did we ever sign the Treaty of Versailles. The Allies won WWI (Britain, France, US.)
