Johnny Depp and Amber Heard attended a performance of the world famous Cirque du Soleil in Brisbane.

Cirque du Soleil posted photos of Depp with his arms around performers on its Instagram page on Saturday night, and have since released a group shot with both Depp and Heard to the media.

A spokeswoman said the actors spent 20 minutes during the intermission talking with the crew.

It's the first time Depp has been seen in public since his beloved dogs Boo and Pistol were embroiled in a customs controversy.
