The HMS Gaspee was a British customs ship that ran aground in Rhode Island. A group of men from the Sons of Liberty attacked and set fire to the ship. King orders suspects to be arrested and brought for trial. After two relative years of peace between the British and Colonists, the Gaspee Affair ignited all hostility again. Colonists were alarmed after hearing that the King ordered suspects and ordered for a trial in England from the Committee of Correspondence which became permanent
