Well known for his 95 theses that he stapled to the door of a church, he disagreed with the selling of indulgences and other church practices. His ideas were spread sufficiently, partially due to the printing press. After his ideas spread, Lutheranism was created. Lutheranism focused on the belief that people could only be saved through faith in God' s grace.
