1 Jun 1846 Jahr - Start of Women's Rights - Seneca Falls
Beschreibung:
Throughout history, there is generally a common theme of superiority and inferiority, whether that be between black and white, old and young, or men and women. Women were seen as delicate, incapable, and weak, which left them confined to cooking, cleaning, and looking after children. They wanted more than this — they wanted to be seen and heard. In Seneca Falls, New York, women gathered in an oratory to spread word of what they wanted to accomplish: equality. This desire to be seen as fully capable and independent women led to the Seneca Falls Convention, which became the spark that ignited the Women’s Rights Movement that would push for personal freedom.
