Beschreibung:
The mining frontier was contained in the area of Colorado, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Arizona, and South Dakota all of which saw a great increase in population after the discovery of gold in California in 1848 which would lead to the coming of the 49ers. further gold stores would be discovered in Pikes Peak, Colorado, in 1859 which would again bring in 100,000 miners. another well-known discovery of gold would be the Comstock lode, which produced more than 340 million dollars and gold and silver by 1890, which was also discovered in 1859. The Comstock lode would also cause the addition of Nevada as a state. The rapid number of gold rush is all happening in quick succession would allow for a standard process as to the location of gold which involved prospector's 1st looking for gold traces, which then advanced to deep shaft mining , and finally the creation of boomtowns, towns was similar to the city of Las Vegas, filled with lust and sin. These towns would soon become ghost towns as soon as the gold server ran out. In 1882, United States Congress would pass the Chinese exclusion act which prohibited anymore migration into the United States from Chinese immigrants because of the fact that the political pressure from the western states of the United States pressured Congress to do so. In the end the mining boom of the 19th century would allow for a huge increase in economy but would also cause political strife.
