Wilson had similar ideas to Roosevelt, and his idea of new freedom became quite popular. Wilson when he became president immediately started working on tariff reduction, lowering tariffs helping consumers. he also worked towards banking reform to try to stabilize the economy of the United States. He proposed the idea of a new banking system that would all be controlled by a board of trustees; this leads the passing of the Federal Reserve act. Continuing his efforts, he worked towards business regulation and work towards two laws, the Clayton antitrust act and the Federal Trade Commission.

Primary Source: This poster was suffragettes’ attempt at calling attention to the hypocrisy in Woodrow Wilson's policies towards the first world war and women. They thought it was unreasonable that he did not support women's suffrage but could argue for the cause of freedom by entering into World War I, comparing him to a German leader.
