The Treaty of Versailles, signed June 28th, 1919 but effective January 10th, 1920, was the most important of peace treaties that brought World War 1 to an end. The Treaty of Versailles’ 15 parts and 440 articles ultimately reassigned German boundaries, and Germany had to accept responsibility for the war.
