Teddy's 14th birthday. He has a party in his dormitory with Castor, Grace, Max, Athena, Pollux, and Nico. Castor and Pollux give him a book about Herbology. Athena gives him a silver pocket watch (he doesn't take it out of its box). Max gives him a postcard from France, where her family is from, and a box of French candy. Grace gives him a sketchbook and new pens. Nico gives him the book Teddy gave Nico for his birthday. After that party, Teddy sneaks out and meets Lane at the secret pool. They go swimming, eat the candy Max gave him, and Teddy draws Lane. He gives Lane the pocket watch Athena gave him. Lane gives Teddy a copy of The Picture of Dorian Gray.
