Shortly after the death of Occidere and the successful defense of the Skyrim border, the Brotherband ride back to the recently-captured fort Farragut to strategize.

While there, after witnessing Raynas' skill in combat, Gondul uncerimoniously recruits him into the Ruby Brotherband. He humbly accepts the offer.
