Hong Kong pan-democratic legislator Alvin Yeung introduced a private member's bill to propose amendments to the Offences Against the Person Ordinance to empower the Hong Kong government and the judiciary to handle cases involving Hong Kong permanent residents suspected of murder, manslaughter or attempted murder abroad, out of Hong Kong jurisdiction.
