The Hong Kong Journalists Association issued an open letter to the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Tang Ping-keung, saying that it had issued numerous statements and appeals to frontline journalists about police obstruction and interference in their reporting work, but they had not been seriously understood by the government, calling on the police to stop treating journalists as enemies and stop obstructing their reporting.
