The Hong Kong tertiary education sector staged a strike and rallied at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. According to the organizers, 30,000 people took part in the event. The President of the Students' Union of the Chinese University of Hong Kong,So Chun Fung, said the rally showed the dissatisfaction of the tertiary education sector and secondary school students with the current political situation and urged the government to respond to the five major demands.
