The Hong Kong government's responded to the Taiwan's proposal on October 22 of sending officers to Hong Kong to escort Chan Tong-kai to Taiwan after his release from prison, saying that it was tantamount to cross-border law enforcement, which is a disrespect of Hong Kong's jurisdiction and is completely unacceptable.
